| | REACH Statement | 22-Sep-08 | | Thank you for your enquiry regarding REACH. It is our policy to ensure that Amega Sciences PLC complies
with all legislative requirements and as such has taken great steps in implementing REACH.
In most circumstances, Amega Sciences PLC is classified as a downstream user and as such has no legal obligation to register any substances it purchases as they are all sourced from EU suppliers. Nonetheless, we are in constant communication with all our suppliers to ensure complete compliance throughout the supply
chain.
Amega Sciences PLC is also classified as a manufacturer of substances. All these substances have been pre-registered and will be registered accordingly. We do not expect supply of your products to be adversely affected by REACH.
Registration by Amega Sciences PLC will be completed by 31st
May 2013 (10 – 100 T/year) and 31st May 2018 (1-10 T / year). REACH requires the passing of information up and down the supply chain. This means that we have to notify our suppliers of the end use/application of the chemicals that we supply to your company. Please note if you believe that you have an unusual use for the material it is worth highlighting this to us as any use that is not identified on the dossier will not be authorised by the REACH regulations.
We are in the process of building a system to simplify the collating of end-use / application from our customers. When the system is ready and registration has begun, we will be sending out request forms.
